3PAR 10000 V400 Disk replacement

3PAR 스토리지 운영 중 궁금한게 있어 글 올립니다 ㅠㅠ

V400 스토리지의 디스크가 3개가 failed 상태로 떨어진 상태입니다.

failed 디스크의 매거진은 서로 다른 매거진인데 메뉴얼을 확인하니 한 번에 교체작업을 진행하지 말라고 하여

한 개씩 교체해나갈 예정인데 교체 전 궁금한게 생겨 글 올립니다!

만약 사진에서 0번 디스크만 failed이고 1~3 디스크는 정상일 때

servicemag start -pdid 0 명령어를 사용하고, 매거진을 정상적으로 오프라인 시키면

failed 된 0번 디스크의 청크릿만 다른 디스크의 스페어 청크릿으로 재배치되는건지

아니면 0~3번까지의 동일 매거진 전체 디스크의 데이터 청크릿이 다른 정상 디스크의 스페어 청크릿으로 재배치되는건지 모르겠어서요

한 번에 세 개의 디스크가 failed 된 상태라 총 스페어 청크릿이 2400여개 정도인데

사용 중인 스페어 청크릿이 860개 가량이라 잔여 스페어 청크릿은 1500개 정도 됩니다.

만약 동일 매거진이라는 이유로 다른 정상 디스크의 청크릿까지 스페어 청크릿으로 이동되어야 한다면

스페어 청크릿의 수가 모자를 수 있지 않을까 하는 염려가 되어 문의 올립니다.

I'm posting a question about 3PAR storage operation

Three disks in V400 storage are in a failed state.

The magazines on the failed disk are different, but when I checked the manual, they told me not to proceed with the replacement work at once

I'm going to replace them one by one, but I'm posting something I'm curious about before I replace them!

If only disk 0 in the picture is failed and disks 1 to 3 are normal

If you use the serviceemag start-pdid 0 command to properly offline the magazine

Is the chunklet of disk 0 that is failed repositioned to the spare chunklet of another disk

Or I don't know if the data chunklet on the entire disk of the same magazine from 0 to 3 is being repositioned to the spare chunklet on the other normal disk

There are three failed disks at a time, so the total number of spare chunks is about 2,400

There are about 860 spare chunks in use, so there are about 1500 spare chunks left.

If it has to be moved to the chunklet of another normal disk as a spare chunklet because it is the same magazine

I'm inquiring because I'm worried that the number of spare chunks might be short.

The chunklets from all four disks in the magazine must be spared if the complete magazine is taken offline (using servicemag start-pdid), which could exhaust your spare chunklets if the magazine is heavily used.
As a precaution, replace failed disks individually and allow spares to be handled automatically by the system. Continuously monitor spare chunklet usage to ensure data continuity.
